Event Description

Haitian Soup Joumou Brunch!!

Soup joumou is a savory, squash-based dish with noodles, carrots, cabbage, various other vegetables, and fresh herbs and spices. Haitians around the world consume soup joumou as a way to commemorate Haitian Independence Day. On January 1, 1804, Haitians declared independence from French colonial rule following the Revolution that began in 1791.

Soup joumou is a symbol of freedom and unity, as it represents the coming together of different ingredients. It gets its unique taste from each household and regional spin that each chef adds to it. It is a cherished dish in Haitian culture and is often served to family and friends on special occasions.

Our Haitian-American Owner, Founder, and Changemaker himself Bertony Faustin will be personally making this dish for you alongside his Crick Kitchen team. What better way to translate the love, magic, & moments that have become an Abbey Creeks ethos.

Each $55 ticket gets you one seat & your first beverage at one of our 10 top tables that will be filled with dope folks just like you! Grab 1 seat or more and break bread.
